They cannot be joined into a controller with any existing handle; rendering them cumbersome for most of the Switch's library of games. Replacement parts for repairs simply are not compatible so you'll have to special order them from THIS seller assuming they'll give them. Just as bad, the insides are an abomination of extra pieces that make it IMPOSSIBLE to move them into a replacement shell (as shown in the picture). The design was well intentioned. There is clear quality to the craftsmanship and creative thought behind some of the innards to make them comfortable for "handheld mode" use of the switch. Someone who knew ...
