Le Klint is a lighting company founded in 1943, but the company's history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. When a hand-pleated lampshade was folded to fit a paraffin lamp designed by both architect and PV master engineer Jensen- Klint. Since then, they have retained the original concept, but are constantly looking to expand into modern times. The spot Carronade suspension is the perfect spot. Ideal as a single work light and general light source for professional and domestic use. These small pendants are perfectly sized to hang like a beautiful cluster, in a row or at different angles to highlight the rotating head function. It is not difficult to see how the designer Markus Johansson was inspired by 17th century ship's guns when he created the series of lamps Carronade. The idea of a small table lamp, with a distinctive but playful shape of a small cannon was quite a challenge. Making references to gunpowder and cannonballs, using modern lighting technology and then synchronising it with contemporary 21st century Nordic lighting designs, was no simple task, but a "Eureka" moment.
